Susan Knight Book Club
The Susan Knight Book Club continues to grow and we are having fun! We are hitting on a variety of genres and getting some people out of their reading comfort zones, and some people picking up a book again for the first time in years! Once a month (usually) we get together and are treating to wine, appies, prizes and great conversation!
Here are the books we have done this far:
Some people loved it, others not so much but everyone agreed it was the hottest topic in town!
Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand – Helen Simonsom
Generally everyone liked it and was happy they had read it, but only a few LOVED the book.
The Casual Vacancy – JK Rowling
Only one person in the group really enjoyed it, and the majority of people couldn’t even finish it! Most of us agreed that there were just too many main characters to keep track of!
The next book is: Room – Emma Donoghue. This is one of my all time favourite books! It will be interesting hear what everyone thinks. The tentative date for our next gathering is January 15th at Halo steak and seafood grill and wine bar. Keep an eye out at Up! 97.7 for more info and to RSVP!
